Quinn IPSC hanging targets feature (2) holes located on the upper half of the target for suspending it above the ground. Hanging/lifting eyes are recommended if a downward angle is desired.
This is a 50% sized IPSC competition shooting target. Quinn IPSC targets are available in 100%, 66%, 50% and 25%. All IPSC targets include a reusable paint template made from Lexan to accurately divide the A,B,C and D scoring zones. Reactive IPSC targets feature hinged “A” zones that react when hit.
Durability: Quinn Steel Targets are waterjet machined from AR-500 steel plate. Quinn targets are never cut by laser or plasma due to the high heat that weakens AR-500 material. By waterjet machining our products, we can ensure the steel never rises above room temperature so that our targets have a uniform hardness from center to perimeter. Waterjet machining allows Quinn Steel Targets to achieve the highest possible product durability and sets us apart from our competition.
Plate Thickness: 3/8″ thick AR-500 plate is recommended for pistols, carbines and long range shooting. Available thicknesses range from 1/4″ (rimfire) to 3/4″ and beyond.
Tip: If you are deforming or penetrating 3/8” AR-500 targets, increasing plate thickness does not always solve the problem. You will need to reduce the velocity of your bullet to under 2,000 fps by increasing the distance between you and the target.
Finishing: Quinn offers many finishing options from bare steel to custom powdercoat. Please take into consideration that even the best coatings will not withstand a bullet strike at the point of impact.
Mounting Options: Quinn IPSC and realistic targets are available in 3 primary mounting configurations:
- Hanging Targets – Holes are located at the upper portion of the target to suspend from above. Lifting eyes are highly recommended to angle the target downward for safety.
- Universal Mount Targets – Designed to work with our universal mounting system. Mounting holes are located on the bottom of the target away from the A,B and C scoring zones. Universal mounts are relatively lightweight and can be attached to a fence post, 2×4 or angle. Angled downward for safety.
- HD Mounts – No holes or hardware exposed. Easily drops into Quinn HD target stand. Quickly change between targets in seconds. Angled downward for safety.
